SCI 397 Advanced Scientific Research
Students will practice the process of science by designing and implementing an independent research project. Students will use peer-reviewed scientific literature and statistical analyses to frame and analyze independent research. Students will make formal presentations of the their research and will be encouraged to present research at professional scientific meetings. Students will work independently but schedule regular meetings with their research course instructor. This course may be taken for one to four credits and may be repeated once. The instructor and student determine credit hours based on the expected time commitment and complexity of the project.
Prerequisite
At least one science course and instructor's permission; Recommended: 16 credits of college-level science
