EXPR 299 EXPR Independent Study: (subtitle)

The class takes an individualized learning approach as each student identifies a topic or project that they wish to explore. With the course instructor, each student develops a syllabus explaining their individualized learning goals, identifying readings, and outlining the course deliverables. The independent study is an opportunity to engage closely in experiential and integrative learning, develop a research project, and/or engage in a creative project under close supervision of a faculty member. Regular weekly engagement in their project is required. Credits for Independent Study are determined by the following principle: students will have 1-4 hours of supervised independent study per week per quarter credit, or a total of 10-40 hours of supervised fieldwork per quarter.
