VISA 485 Drawing from Imagination
In this advanced studio course students will create a series of images drawn from our imagination with a focus on things that have never been seen, or something familiar transformed by the way we see it. Drawings and Paintings will be developed through exercises based on metaphor, juxtaposition, collage, and playful combination. In order to see through the vagueness inherent in our imaginations we will construct a map of our own image-nation utilizing contemporary discussions situated in the arts, psychology and philosophy. A range of drawing materials and processes will be utilized.

VISA 385 or instructor's permission
Notes
May be offered concurrently with VISA 285 and VISA 385.
