MEDA 255 Archive Fever: Found Footage Filmmaking
Godard proclaimed that "Photography is truth, and cinema is truth 24 times per second." Although the nature of these "truths" is up for debate, there is no doubt that humans have amassed an extraordinary trove of images since the birth of cinema. In this video production course students will learn and deploy the artistic strategies used to (re-)make meaning via d_tournement and found footage filmmaking.
